La Penúltima Casa and its founder, Katia Sánchez, launched the Pitch Festival this Friday, from the venture’s Telegram group and Youtube channel, as an event to think about digital communication based on Cuban entrepreneurship. The event is the first of its kind in the country and completely free.
The program featured lectures, expert question and answer spaces, as well as an audience of diverse brands and businesses, media, students, non-profit projects, enterprises and state organizations.
Those attending the two-day Pitch Festival learned about the keys to influencer marketing, the shift that nano-influencers are achieving in the current scenario, and the main lines of work in which most of them are moving in Cuba.
The first day saw the participation of Argentine communicator, Alejandro Formanchuk, from the event’s YouTube channel, and Spanish marketing director, María de la Rica, among other Cuban panelists such as Dailene Dovale, Camilo Condis, Yohan Rodríguez and Esteban Cervis. Meanwhile, in the second encounter, Salvador de la Torriente and Erich García explained how to sell successfully and without gimmicks and how to reach the first 10k followers on Youtube, respectively.
All the conferences of the event were transmitted live from 4 different geographical locations. The close saw the awarding of the contest of the same name, which included proposals received since the beginning of March by the Organizing Committee. The prize went to the Regalitos Miau project, while Cuban entrepreneur, Ivelin Palacio, won the prize awarded by the jury for her pitch on Gastronomic Photography.
Ernesto Guerra won the award for Best Pitch of the Podcast Season, for his pitch on the Juventud Técnica magazine in episode 4. In the ranking of most popular episodes, third place went to María de la Rica and Gigi Maduq for number 7 on Influencer Marketing; second place went to Personal Branding with Erich García and Saily González, while first place went to Rancel Ruana of Bajanda, on how to be the leading brand in a sector.
