Understanding the challenges and fears involved in assuming leadership is undoubtedly one of the first steps on the road to entrepreneurship. Bringing together and connecting women in this sense has been one of the fundamental objectives of the Negolutionary project “Ellas hablan.”
Following a parnter with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and in the search for support for the country’s entrepreneurial sector, the event was launched for the first time in a space that has supported many women since its creation: the Fábrica de Arte Cubano.
What began with a conversation about the experiences of the very talented Sandra Lopez, co-founder of Fábrica de Arte Cubano, in the world of entrepreneurship, turned into a panel discussion where many of the guests shared their experiences. The panel was chaired by Martha Deus, co-founder of Negolution, and psychologist Aurora Cristina García.
Around 40 ventures invited to the gala had the opportunity to showcase their products at a fair where partnerships and networking prevailed. On that matter, it is worth recognizing the Pitch, a space in which Victoria, Cintia and Adriana (leaders of Hilos de Vicky, Agua de marzo and Beyond Roots respectively) spoke about how to make sorority a way of life.
But “Ellas hablan” didn’t end there. This is a project that is just beginning and will tell the stories of successful entrepreneurs in the market, from different parts of the island. The need for more women to acquire the tools they need to get started on the path of entrepreneurship, from various business sectors, is the priority. It’s time for you to speak.
